The first joint conference on Text in Biology: Biological Research with
Information Extraction and Open-Access Publications (BRIE & OAP) is a one-day
symposium which aims to bring together individuals and groups interested in both
biological discovery using text mining techniques and removing obstacles created
by current publication practices.
