[BiO BB] Opening *.gbk.gz file on linux

A file with the extension gz is compressed and can be uncompressed with:

gzip -d <filename>

hi everybody,

i would be very grateful to you if you could please suggest
me a way of opening a file with the extension ".gbk.gz" (a
genbank file). i have tried "unzip" but it doesnot work.
