Thanks for the clarification, Michael.  I was merely offering a practical 
observation as to how KEGG pathways and GO processes may compare in the 
scope and quality of functional annotation. 

Samantha, if you haven't already, I recommend reading the relevant 
publications in the yearly database issue of Nucleic Acids Research.  
Obviously the most recent publications are more up-to-date, but it may be 
useful to read the older ones to see how both resources evolved.  See
