[BiO BB] number of total genes

To whom it my concern

I was wondering if you would mind answering me how could I find the total 
number of genes for a eukaryot and prokaryotic cells in NCBI. I checked Map 
viewer ,  Genome , Genome project  and Taxonomy in NCBI  but unfortunately 
could not find it.
