I believe Bio-Linux has a lot more software than BioBrew.

BioBrew ; )

Many of the programs don't need any parallel communication libraries 
like MPICH, but those programs that do, e.g. mpiBLASt, Gromacs, are 
built with them so that they will run  on a cluster.
