(Sorry to be continuing a thread that is seemingly unrelated to BioBrew, but I think more people may try searching the archives of this list for a "smaller" bioinformatics distro.) J.W. DNALinux is a Live-CD distribution based on Slackware. It's been our most popular OS download in recent months: almost 1,000 downloads per month. I couldn't tell what the activity was, since the location of their actual website (which doesn't have to be hosted here) was a bit of a mystery. But, I found it: http://dnalinux.com/ The ISO is available from our FTP server, but they'd like people to register: http://ftp.bioinformatics.org/pub/dnalinux/dna50p.iso There are also a bunch of screenshots on OSDir: http://shots.osdir.com/slideshows/slideshow.php?release=90&slide=1 Cheers, Jeff -- J.W.
