[BioBrew Users] HOWTOs etc

Hi Glen,

I'd be happy to - in fact I've done so for our system by means of a
wiki. Would it be worth setting up a one for biobrew and its many apps -
at leat with enough detail for a basic run? If not, should I just post
'em here?

As for modeltest, its probably not really worth including after some
further discussions - the bulk of the work is done by paup (commercial
phylogeny package). modeltest simply parses its output and converts it
into something useful - isn't worth farming out, and could just sit on a
desktop.

One other query I had probably belongs on the rocks list, but I was
wondering if anyone has integrated their cluster into a windowns domain
- ie samba sharing home dirs and windbind authenticating against an AD?
Rocks docs mention NIS authentication, but I'm not sure that'd apply
here...

Cheers,
Denis

Denis-

Would you be willing to write short HOWTOs for using clustalw-mpi and
modeltest? The HOWTOs would greatly help me get your requests into
the next BioBrew release and help others use the tools.

Thanks!

Glen
