Tom Sterling's latest book "Beowulf Cluster Computing with Linux" is the
best all around book resource for clusters. There's an excellent
account of building Argonne's cluster in the book.

The tools you will need to be familiar with that aren't a part of
typical sys admin are PBS (openpbs.org), Maui (supercluster.org), Sun's
Grid Engine (www.sun.com/software/gridware), RedHat's Kickstart, and
SystemImager (systemimager.org), amongst others.

Some of the better websites for cluster info:
http://foundries.sourceforge.net/clusters/
http://www.lcic.org/computational.html
http://www.ats.ucla.edu/at/clustering/
