[Bioclusters] FASTA segmenter available

Hi Folks:

  Some questions have been asked this past week about a FASTA
segmenter.  I wanted to point anyone interested in such a tool over to
http://scalableinformatics.com/segment.html .  One corner case is for
huge output files.  Currently they are built in RAM.  This could cause
problems for things like splitting large databases where the output is
comparable in size to main memory.  It will work, it will just swap
rather hard.  This shortcoming will be addressed in future releases.

  Please send me a note if you pull it down and use it.  Real
documentation is forthcoming.
