GPFS can be configured to store two copies of all the data (which  
helps read performance too, since it gives an extra path to the data).

Lustre stores everything as RAID5, so I understand, and the metadata  
servers are in pairs, so there's plenty of redundancy there.   Don't  
know about PVFS2, but the consensus in our group is that it has less  
redundancy.
