But nevertheless, that's a competitive box. Once you configure 2GB of memory per core (which is our usual choice), a decent SCSI disk controller or a FC HBA, it becomes quite a bit more expensive at around £30k, but that's still a pretty good price. Of course what it's missing compared to the Altix or the (much more pricey) HP servers is any form of lights-out management, as far as I can tell, which makes it pretty much a non-starter.
