My company, Massively Parallel Technologies, has built upon NCBI BLAST and applied our technology (called HOWARD) to create a version that parallelizes single and multiple queries over multiple nodes. We plan to offer this high-performance version of BLAST, accessible over the internet, to users for free. While we support short queries, we are really targeting users whose queries currently take hour or longer to complete.
