[BioDarwin] Compiling MEME/MAST

Hi

Has anybody compiled the MEME/MAST system available from 
<ftp://ftp.sdsc.edu/pub/sdsc/biology/meme> ?
While I have tweaked the "machid" Bourne shell script in the /bin 
directory to identify my Mac, it seems that the symbolic link from the 
/bin directory to the /src directory (outlined in the makefile) is not 
made with the result that compilation fails:

> ln: Macintosh/alphtype.c: No such file or directory
> ln: Macintosh/background.c: No such file or directory
> ln: Macintosh/banner.c: No such file or directory
> ln: Macintosh/clock.c: No such file or directory
> ln: Macintosh/diagram.c: No such file or directory
> ln: Macintosh/discretize.c: No such file or directory
> ln: Macintosh/display.c: No such file or directory
> ln: Macintosh/dpalign.c: No such file or directory
> ln: Macintosh/em.c: No such file or directory
> ln: Macintosh/gamma.c: No such file or directory
> ln: Macintosh/getsize.c: No such file or directory

Minor adjustment(s) of the makefile would probably do the trick but I 
cannot think of a way. All suggestions would be appreciated.
