[BioEdu] Open Source Bioinformatics Projects?

Hi Everyone,

I'm not sure how many people have already subscribed to this mailing  
list, but I'm interested in joining a bio-related software project.  
Does anyone have any ideas of where I could start looking? Google's  
Summer of Code would have been ideal had there been something in this  
field.
