Let me reword that:

If a GMS-node does NOT represent an existing application, the GMS-node's
windowlet would contain an empty Overflow-workspace.

If a GMS-node DOES represent an existing application, the GMS-node's windowlet
would contain an Overflow-workspace with a network of Overflow-nodes visible.

If an interface/widget is NOT specified by the network of Overflow-nodes, the
GMS-node's windowlet would contain an Overflow-workspace with a network of
Overflow-nodes visible.

If an interface/widget IS specified by the network of Overflow-nodes, the
GMS-node's windowlet would show that interface/widget (and be able to switch
between network and interface/widget views).
