Hi, Scriptome Announce listeners.

Back in August, I sent a note saying that a Windows version of the Scriptome
was available at the "PreScriptome" site. I finally ported that over to the
main site. The new home page lets you pick which platform you usually use,
and then takes you to a green (Windows) or Blue (UNIX/Mac) platform-specific
home page, which you can bookmark.

Also available on the main site is the quickbrowse menu at the very top of
each tool page, which is an alphabetical menu of the tool abbreviated names
(like choose_cols_to_delete), so that you can quickly get to tools you
commonly use. The table of contents is now collapsible, too, so it's easier
to browse.

In other news, we published an article on perl.com about the Scriptome:
http://www.perl.com/pub/a/2005/10/20/scriptome.html
In addition to major geek points, this gets us exposure in the Perl
community, and possibly some programming help.

We're getting more experience working with actual users, which will help us
chart our future course. I would encourage you to share any stories of using
the Scriptome - whether you yourself or friends or clients - by mailing
either me or the scriptome-users mailing list.

Thanks,
