[return to Release To Do List]
install-scripts
- setplatform.py - DONE.
Added step to explicitly set world-read permissions for $birch/local/admin platform.source and platform.profile.source. On flamingo, for some reason, when these files were modified, the directory world-read permissions would not be used. flamingo is the only system where I have observed this problem, but just to be safe, I run chmod to force permissions to be set.

- pro
- con
- user will expect changes to take effect within the current object, or all open objects, which will be confusing. Maybe its safer to only have these changes in birch, so that you have to launch a new object to have changes take effect.
bldna, blprotein
update BLASTviewer to latest version.
Add email notification to FASTA searches
- blprotein - DONE
PXHOM can only take upper case amino acids. PXHOM.blmenu translates aa's to uppercase before calling phom.py.
