About CSI
Computer Society of India (CSI) registered in 1965, today have more than
25000 Computer Professionals as its members, 63 chapters and more than 220
Student Branches. Objectives of CSI are to organise, develop and support
computational activities and improve the efficiency of computational process
in India; to exchange the benefits of experience gained in the field of
Computers and Information Processing; to take active steps to educate people
in the field of computers; and to spread computer know how and applications.
CSI organises its activities such as Seminars, Conferences, and Conventions
etc. at National, Regional and Chapter levels.
About Seminar
National Seminar on ICT in Life Sciences is basically aimed to bring
together Academicians, Professionals, Scientists and Researchers of various
disciplines viz. Computer Science, Biology, Agriculture and Medical Science
on a common platform and deliberate on issues and current trends in
application of computational paradigms and technological tools in these
disciplines, interdisciplinary studies & research. Seminar will cover
original research works, case studies, industrial product presentations,
presentations on innovative use of computer technology on the following but
not limited to these topics only:
· Agro-Informatics, Hydro-Informatics, Bio-Informatics,
Medical-Informatics
· Expert Systems for soil water & crop management, Health, Electronic
prescription
· E-Health, Tele-Health, Tele-medicine, Adoption of Health IT in India
· Role of ICT in development of Agriculture, Health and Biological
Sciences
Original papers on any of the above mentioned or related topics not
exceeding 8 pages including title of paper, author(s), Abstract, objective,
scope, highlights, significance and conclusion should be sent through e-mail
as an attachment in (.DOC) format to Chairman, Programme Committee latest by
October 31, 2006 in e-mail address nsictls2006 at gmail.com Hard copy in A4
size paper, 12 pt Arial font with 1.5 line spacing along with its soft copy
in (.doc format) in CD may also be sent.
