Victor:

This won't help your error on the mac, but Cisco's are notorious for not 
auto-negotiating properly with Suns (and therefore I assume others as 
well.) If you want Full-Duplex be certain your Cisco switch is pegged to 
Full-Duplex. On a Sun, setting the Cisco to Full/100 usually forces the 
Sun to come up properly.
