Hi Chris: You might want to check out the HOWTO docs from the official project page: http://gridengine.sunsource.net/project/gridengine/howto/howto.html The document of interest is: Sun Grid Engine, Enterprise Edition -- Configuration Use Cases and Guidelines I take it you are running SGE (not Enterprise Edition?) What you really need to do is set up share-tree policy for your cluster. What that involves is creating a default 'project' which users submit jobs to, then also creating users within SGE so that it can keep track of accounting information. There are also some pointers available from the user/admin guide. Good luck.
