Dave, Chrome needs a new version of Java, called 6u10 (still in RC, a
prerelease) or 1.6.0_10rc
After that it works well (no need for any activation), EXCEPT that
the LiveConnect (= JavaScript to Java applet interface) is not there,
so Jmol does not respond to buttons, links etc. contained in the
webpage to change the model. At least in pages that use Jmol.js
