[pyorbit] question about the status of PyORBit

PyORBit is/was a project started by Michael Robinson and later picked up by
Justin Bradford. For over a year, however, no development or discussions have
been taking place.
Shortly after the start of the PyORBit project, Jason Tackaberry started the
ORBit-Python project, as a project for school. He has since graduated, and
although he said he would continue the project, it seems he has abandoned it.

So, yes, they both seem to be undeveloped and abandoned. And they are
probably the only Python bindings out there for ORBit. If you are interested
in either, one difference I have heard others mention is that PyORBit
generates its stubs in C, not Python, and some consider that a problem.
If you are most concerned that the license be GPL, there are some excellent
Python bindings for omniORB by AT&T Research. They far exceed the level of
development of the ORBit bindings:

However, if you are interested in taking up/over PyORBit development, and
perhaps merging with ORBit-Python, I can give you "the keys" to PyORBit. They
are GPL, afterall.
Cheers.
