What is Bookmarklet?
Browsers can have any valid URL as bookmark (favorites in case of Internet Explorer). A JavaScript code can also be a valid URL and therefore can be placed as a bookmark. It is therefore possible to embed JavaScript code into a reference to an URL and can be executed on demand. This piece of code is called "Bookmarklet".

How do you set up SeWeR-Bookmarklets?
SeWeR supplies you two Bookmarklets as prototypes. One for PubMed query and another for retrieval of GenBank entry by accession number. The point I want to make here that these small pieces of codes can be very useful in Bioinformatics. I hope users will like the idea and will write more and more Bookmarklets. Just drag these two hyperlinks on the right side, on to your personal tool bar (or "links toolbar" in Internet Explorer) or set them as bookmarks. They become part of your browser and whenever you click them they will execute :-)
